Winter in Heilongjiang puts tunnel lighting to the ultimate test. In the past, during the harshest cold spells, the old lamps often failed to start, leaving the tunnels dim and gloomy—and us feeling anxious. This new LED tunnel‑lighting system has stood up to an entire winter: it ignites instantly at sub‑zero temperatures as low as –35°C, delivering uniform, stable illumination, while significantly reducing our electricity bills. Most satisfying of all is its intelligent dimming system: it automatically brightens on snowy days and dims when traffic is light—no manual intervention required. The Tianhengshan Tunnel has now become a benchmark project for tunnel lighting in Heilongjiang’s extreme cold‑climate region.
